Academia

In addition to his dedicated surgical practice, Dr Sandeep is deeply committed to advancing the field of medicine through research. His notable research journey includes:

CLINICAL RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP

Awarded the prestigious Clinical Research Training Fellowship from the Medical Research Council (MRC) UK in 2007.

Conducted research on the Genetic Basis of ENT Diseases under the mentorship of Prof. DT Bonthron, Prof. AF Markham, and Dr CP Bennett at the Molecular Medicine Unit, St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds, UK.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

In 2012, he earned a PhD from the University of Leeds, UK, in recognition of his pioneering work.

His research uncovered the genetic and molecular mechanisms behind Pachydermoperiostosis, a hereditary syndrome known for causing facial deformities and premature facial ageing.

PUBLICATION IN NATURE GENETICS

Dr Sandeep’s ground-breaking findings were published as a first-author paper in the highly respected journal, Nature Genetics.

His dedication to research and the significant contributions he has made to the understanding of genetic and molecular aspects of medical conditions demonstrate his commitment to advancing the field of medicine and improving patient care.

Dr  Sandeep is credited with 37 scholarly articles published in peer-reviewed international journals, covering a diverse array of subjects. These subjects include but are not limited to Facelift, Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty, Blepharoplasty, Sleep Apnoea and Snoring Surgery, and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS).
