NON-SURGICAL TREATMENTS

CONTINUOUS POSITIVE AIRWAY PRESSURE (CPAP) THERAPY

The most common first line treatment for OSA, involving a machine that supplies a constant and steady pressure to the airway to prevent it from collapsing during sleep.

ORAL APPLIANCE THERAPY

Custom-fitted dental devices that reposition the lower jaw and tongue to improve airway patency.

POSITIONAL THERAPY

Use of devices to encourage sleeping in positions that optimize airflow.

MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY

To strengthen the airway.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE PROCEDURES

RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION (RFA) AND COBLATION OF THE TONGUE

A minimally invasive procedure that reduces the size of the tongue base to improve airflow.

SURGICAL PROCEDURES

Repositioning Pharyngoplasty: The procedure aims to modify and reposition the tissues in the pharynx (throat area) to create a more open airway, thereby reducing the likelihood of airway collapse during sleep.

UVULO-PALATO-PHARYNGOPLASTY (UPPP)

Removal of excess tissue from the throat to widen the airway, commonly used to treat OSA.

ADENOIDECTOMY AND TONSILLECTOMY

Removal of large adenoids and tonsils to increase the volume of the airway or to treat blocked nose and repeated throat infections.

COMBINATION THERAPY

In some cases, a combination of surgeries like UPPP, GA, and MMA may be performed in stages to treat severe OSA.

INSPIRE THERAPY
